Through a tender process done by InnoEnergy, the incubator of Rivus, Orange Bird was chosen to develop the brand identity and build a website for Rivus that differentiates the company, creates awareness, and drives adoption of its sustainable battery technology.

Rivus means “river” in Latin, and the company’s batteries use flow technology. With these factors guiding the branding strategy, a river theme became central to the brand identity and website design Orange Bird crafted for Rivus.

Drawing inspiration from two nature symbols dear to the founder – the mighty river and the majestic elk – Orange Bird used a clean color palette and minimalistic typography with nature-based imagery that marries power and stability. This identity was consolidated into a comprehensive brand book, providing clear guidelines to maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints.

2. Impact Storytelling to Foster Connection

To create an authentic narrative, Orange Bird collaborated closely with Rivus, uncovering the company’s origins, the motivation behind its technology, and its environmental and societal goals. Industry data and branding insights were woven into a compelling Impact Story, designed to forge an emotional connection with audiences while delivering key facts. This narrative serves as a key content marketing piece on the Rivus website.
